WE ARE PROUD TO BE ONE OF THE BEST CHARTER SCHOOLS IN OREGON
How does online school work?
In many ways, learning online is similar to learning in a brick-and-mortar setting; Oregon Charter Academy is an accredited institution with licensed, experienced teachers, and as a public school, our curriculum aligns with Oregon state standards. But with online school, learning doesn’t have to happen in a school building. Our classes take place 100% online and allow students a more flexible schedule and the learning environment of their choosing. Our Student’s Schedules
A day in the life of a student at Oregon Charter Academy can look pretty different than that of a traditional student — and at Oregon Charter Academy, no two students’ daily lives are the same! Read more about some of our students and how ORCA works for them below.

Cutting-Edge Curriculum
A cutting-edge, highly adaptable curriculum forms the foundation of our online school for Oregon students. All courses adhere to state academic standards, and our in-house assessments help align instruction with current student demands. Instructors carefully curate purchased materials and Open Educational Resources (OERs) to meet the diverse needs of our students, including those with 504 plans and Individual Education Programs (IEPs).
All educational resources are fully integrated within Canvas, where students enjoy easy online access from any location with a reliable internet connection. Our advanced learning platform, the same technology used by schools, colleges, and universities across the country, makes it easy to interact with teachers and classmates, submit assignments, and more. To ensure equitable access, a Chromebook is provided for every child in attendance at the time of enrollment.
“I can confidently say that I have the independence and motivation to take on college because of the resources that ORCA has provided.”
